Possibly good news

Well my husband went down to housing and the paperwork has been submitted and now we wait for a decision on whether or not we get the one level for me with all the handicap access and bars. I am still trying to figure out why we have to jump thru hoops when it is known hip replacement and back surgery are no longer an option. We will see where this leads. You guys I miss cooking and cleaning. Yes I know crazy but I do even miss exercising. It is the little things you miss like living pain free, Ok enough feeling sorry for my self, as An Army spouse you just have to keep going HOOAH!!!

  1. Hi again Katherine,

Once again I can relate to your issue and I must comment. On a personal note, I have had lower back surgery, neck surgery, many other surgeries. I tell everyone that I have a bionic spine because seriously, without medical hardware I would not be able to walk, stand, run, hold my head up high, or even drive.

By looking at me you would not notice anything out of place or different. I can hang with the best of them.

You keep your chin up Katherine and know that with hard work and determination - you can regain your strengths and overcome your hardships.

Let me know if I can do anything for you and your family from a military standpoint. I can make phone calls, call in favors; I'm here for you.

Make it a goal that within a certain amount of time you 'will' cook dinner, and exercise your toes. Go from there. :)

  2. Hi Katherine,

I'm sorry that you are going through so much physically and mentally. I feel bad now when I skip cleaning or cooking. Those things seem so mundane, until the day you are unable to do them I guess. I hope that you get the lower level home that you are applying for, I would have never known there is a process for these kinds of things. You would think that with all you have going on moving would be the easiest thing. I'm sorry and I really hope things get better!
